Amber Fort, Jaipur : Famous for History and Photography

Amber Fort or Amber Palace, Jaipur, is Famous for History and Photography. We reached there after the City Palace.

The current structure of the fort was built by Raja Man Sight in the 16 CE (1592) and it was fully expanded by Raja Jai Singh I. It was moved to Jaipur, (the City Palace) in 1727 by Raja Jai Singh II as the fort faced a water crisis. It was built with red sandstone and marble.

It is an amalgamation of Hindu and Muslim style of Ornamentation. Amber is a fort as well as a palace. Historically, Amber Palace is the oldest palace in India.

Amber Fort is one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites in India. It was listed in the UNESCO World Heritage sites at the 37th session of the World Heritage Committee held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 2013 along with five other Forts in Rajasthan as a part of the group Hill Forts of Rajasthan.
